I think we owe it to ourselves to be as kind as we can to our bodies. I don’t mean strive for perfection in any given thing, I mean give it love, pampering, exercise, and the best food we can.
If your relationship with your body is troubling, try this practice.
Choose a mirror, it doesn’t matter what size, just pick one that you can manage. The trick with this mirror is, when you work with it, you must try your best not say or think anything negative about your body. Therefore, if all you can manage is a makeup mirror or a hand mirror, that’s fine, but try and work up to a full length mirror.
Devote the mirror to Venusian energy on a Friday as Venus rises, washing it in rosewater. Allow it to dry, dedicate it to seeing yourself with eyes of love and acceptance.
Each Friday (or more often, if you’re moved) look at your body in this mirror. Ask for support if you have to. Try really hard to think neutral or positive thoughts, not negative ones. If you’re using a small mirror, start with a part of your body you like and are grateful for, like your eyes, or your ears. As you can, move onto different parts of your body and try to see your whole self with love and acceptance.
If you’re using a smaller mirror try and keep it just for this exercise. When it isn’t in use, you can keep it in a jewelry box with some rose quartz, for self love, or clear quartz for clarity.
